Elite Frontier Adventures is located at the base of Bay’s Mountain which is a part of the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians, located in Northeast Tennessee. It is the ultimate social distancing get away. EFA provides over 150 acres of complete privacy with an abundance of ranch animals and wildlife. You may see deer, turkey, coyotes, raccoons, and the occasional bear since all have been spotted multiple times on the property. EFA has exciting activities and delicious home cooked country meals. The property features a new home with 2 themed suites on the upstairs level, each with spectacular views. The Lonesome Dove Suite is based off the greatest western mini series ever produced. A close second is the Tombstone Suite which is based after the true to life movie featuring Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday.
EFA property features seven well-broke horses and a mule named Henry. These are great horses with individual personalities that will be matched to each individual rider. These are not the dead-heads you see at other “line em up and herd em out” facilities where quantity is emphasized rather than quality. Our horses are like family and are treated as such. We also have cows, vegetable gardens, and chickens. Whenever possible, we feature farm to table freshness for our meals.
Activities at EFA include Horse Care 101, horseback pasture riding, horseback mountain riding, axe throwing, clay pigeon shooting with shotguns, 22 rifle and pistol shooting, an archery experience, kayaking or paddle boating on the pond and catch and release fishing for catfish, bass or blue gill. For those wanting to learn a new culinary skill, you can choose cooking classes featuring three of our favorites. We will teach you how to bake homemade pies, complete with pie crusts made from scratch, our favorite Cowboy Cookies, or Grandma Eva’s delicious homemade bread.
For those who prefer a quiet place to unwind from the stress of daily life, you are invited to relax with some self-guided activities, including private hiking on the mountain trails, a fun game of cornhole or take the pedal boat for a spin around the pond. Lay in the hammock and read a book, or relax with an awesome massage in the Genesis Infinity massage chair while listening to your favorite music via bluetooth and your device. Some may choose to simply hang out in our awesome suites and watch one of the great western movies provided. At Elite Frontier Adventures our focus is all about quality not quantity. You are guaranteed to find peace and quiet here. We limit the number of guests from one to four at any given time.

ABOUT THE OWNERS
Gary and Alisa Crandall started Elite Frontier Adventures after retiring from 30 years of teaching, coaching, and working with kids and parents from all different backgrounds. They are the proud parents of 4 amazing boys. Jonsen and Connor both graduated from the Air Force Academy and are currently serving as Captains in the Air Force. Logan and Keaton are both college students attending in Utah and Idaho. Gary spent 30 years as a technology teacher, technology director, and football/wrestling coach. His summers and fall were spent riding his horses and hunting in the Rocky Mountains. Gary has logged literally thousands of hours of mountain trail riding in the Mountains of Utah, Wyoming and Tennessee. He has over 35 years of riding experience, training and breaking several of his own fillies and colts over the years.
Alisa began her riding days as a youngster in Utah, winning the Summit County Rodeo queen on a thoroughbred horse out of the Three Bars bloodline. She has many hours of both arena riding and trail riding. She grew up with horses her entire life. Her pride of the EFA herd is Miss. Charlee Bar, the only mare in the bunch and a hybrid from the Three Bar / Doc Bar line. Alisa enjoys home cooking and has been the envy of the valley with her bread, cookies and pies. Retried from education, she is ready to pass on her cooking skills to those eager to learn some good old country cooking.
Gary and Alisa have both completed several firearm self defense and safety classes with both rifle and hand guns at the world famous Frontsight facility located near Las Vegas Nevada. They attend refresher courses every few years to keep their skills sharp. They love living in Tennessee and are excited to share their little piece of paradise with you.
